Pakistan Navy seized 2.8 tonnes of narcotics in Arabian Sea
Two Pakistan Navy corvettes, PNS Yarmook (F-271) and PNS Hunain (F-273), carried out a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea on 26 September, the Pakistan Navy said. During a routine patrol the vessels intercepted a suspicious boat, boarded it and seized more than 2.8 tonnes (2,800 kilogrammes) of narcotics, which the navy said were valued at approximately $750 million. The Pakistan Navy’s Director General Public Relations issued the statement quoted by Dawn. Ahlul Haqq Network reported the same figures and details.
