Somali army carried out security operation in Lower Shabelle
Somali National Army units, including the 27th and 17th brigades, carried out a security operation between Sabiid, Caanoole and Bariire in Lower Shabelle on 27 September 2026, the local outlet reported. During the operation the forces prevented actions by extremist groups that would have harmed civilians.
