Five-year-old girl killed in Baydhabo; rights body called for justice

Guddiga Madaxa-bannaan ee Xuquuqul Insaanka Qaranka (GMXIQ) said a five-year-old girl named Ikhlaas was killed in the town of Baydhabo and called for a full investigation and accountability. The commission issued the statement from Baydhabo on 27 September. Shabelle Media reported the GMXIQ statement on 27 September.
A second Shabelle Media report on 27 September repeated the GMXIQ account that Ikhlaas, aged five, had been killed in Baydhabo and that the commission demanded those responsible be held to account. No perpetrator, motive or means of killing were given in either report. No other sources or casualty figures were provided.
