Security forces kill several Afghan Taliban fighters in retaliatory action along Balochistan border
Pakistani troops responded to an act of aggression along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan and, according to state media sources, killed several Afghan Taliban fighters in retaliatory action after the militants attempted to enter Pakistani territory in the Gulistan sector and attacks on some border posts were reported. Intermittent exchange of fire between security forces and Afghan Taliban was ongoing after midnight; Pakistan also said it conducted precision aerial and drone strikes in response to earlier drone incursions from Afghanistan.
