What happened The Saudi-led coalition said air defences intercepted and destroyed two drones launched by the Houthis toward the Riyadh area. The coalition announced the interception on 26 September. The coalition gave no casualty figures.

Other reports The Gulf Cooperation Council condemned what it called ballistic missile and drone attacks launched by the Houthis on the Saudi cities of Riyadh and Khamis Mushait, and said the attacks violated Saudi sovereignty and threatened civilian safety and regional stability. The GCC statement was reported on 26 September by Middle East Monitor and cited Anadolu as its source.
