The Nation’s Shield Forces said its units carried out a rapid military operation and took the summit and Dar al-Kafir. Ahlulhaqqn reported that pro-government forces, supported by local tribesmen, recaptured Jabal Numan and Dar al-Kafir — positions that overlook the Al-Wazi'iyah district in Taiz and Al-Mudarabah in Lahj — after Houthi fighters fled when their positions were encircled and stormed early in the morning. Ahlulhaqqn said the Houthis withdrew from the area. The three accounts agree that pro-government-aligned forces now hold Jabal Numan and Dar al-Kafir. Ahlulhaqqn and the Nation’s Shield Forces say Houthi fighters fled or withdrew after encirclement and storming; the Nation’s Shield Forces additionally said the operation was rapid and named the Giants Brigades and Popular Resistance as participants. Ahlulhaqqn reported withdrawal; the Nation’s Shield Forces reported seizure after clashes. No source provided figures for killed or wounded, and there is no independent confirmation of equipment losses.
