Pregnant Palestinian detainee detained and subjected to harsh treatment
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said a pregnant Palestinian detainee, Abu Khdeijeh, has been detained since 27 August 2026 and endured a harsh arrest and abusive treatment including blindfolding, tight plastic restraints, being held for hours, a strip search, being handcuffed to a chair amid shouting and verbal abuse, and denial of basic necessities while held in Israel’s Damon prison.
