Israeli forces carried out explosions near Khiam, southern Lebanon

27 Sept 2026 · Khiam, Nabatieh, Lebanon

Place: Khiam, Nabatieh, Lebanon Happened: 26 September, around 21:00 UTC

The National News Agency reported that the Israeli army carried out "violent explosions" in the vicinity of Khiam, a town on Lebanon's southern border with Israel. The item was posted on 27 September.

Ahlul Haqq Network later reported that earlier on the day of its posting Israeli Defense Forces struck Hezbollah underground infrastructure at several locations across southern Lebanon. Ahlul Haqq Network said the underground infrastructure had been used to launch explosive drones and anti-tank missiles and that the strikes followed the launch of an explosive-laden drone into the security zone.

The two accounts overlap but differ in detail: the National News Agency reported "violent explosions" near Khiam without attribution of a target, while Ahlul Haqq Network named strikes on Hezbollah underground infrastructure across southern Lebanon and linked them to an earlier drone launch. No source gave figures for killed or injured.

A picture from the scene was added to the record; it had no caption.
