At least 30 executed in eastern Libya after secret military trials
At least 30 men were executed in eastern Libya after being sentenced to death in secretive military trials, rights groups and Amnesty International reported, with executions resumed from 23 August and human-rights monitors saying some deaths were recorded by 10 September. Amnesty and local monitoring groups said the sentences followed unfair trials and alleged torture, and that dozens more detainees remained at imminent risk of execution.
